What a few days!

Mia & Lucky got their final vaccines yesterday – both were a bit tired after. Their mom didn’t react well to a deworming, but she’s fine again today.

Then, in the night, our cat Jasper brought us an injured kitten – and surprise: it’s a wild cat baby! Only 40g, 7–14 days old, weak and hurt. We fed and cared for it every 2 hours overnight.

This morning we went to Sargodha:

Lucky moved to a wonderful new home.

Mia was adopted too – she’ll stay in our village!

The wild kitten is now at the vet clinic. If it survives, it will go to someone with experience in wild cats.

And the mama from Mia and Lucky? She stays with us – spayed, safe, and free.

No Animal Should Suffer Because of Money

🩺🐶 Today at the vet...

We went to the vet today to get some deworming medicine for our furry friends. We want to deworm them before their next vaccination.

But then we saw a very sick little dog sitting outside the clinic. He was tied up, very thin, and looked so sad. 💔

Inside, we heard the vet and the owner talking about the treatment. The dog needed help, but the owner didn’t have enough money. They were trying to find a way.

We looked at each other and knew right away: This poor dog must not suffer just because of money.

So we decided to pay for the treatment – to give this little one a chance to feel better. 🐾❤️

Sometimes, a small act of kindness can make a big difference.

Stopping the Cycle – With Just a Little Help

Every small action helps. Some time ago, a young student sent us a message. He had taken in a stray cat who now lives with him. But sadly, every year she had more kittens.

He wanted to stop this – but as a student, he doesn’t have much money. We gave him a spay voucher and arranged a visit with our vet.

At the first appointment, the vet found that the cat had a serious infection in her mammary glands (mastitis). As you can see in the video, she needed treatment first.

Now, a few weeks later, she finally had her spay surgery. Everything went well, and she is now recovering safely at home.

This story shows why it’s so important to stop unwanted litters – to protect animals and prevent suffering.

We can only help in cases like this because some people donate to us regularly – even small amounts. If you want to help too: just one euro, now and then, can really make a difference.

From the Streets to Safety – Our Little Rescue from Sargodha

Just a few days ago, we were contacted about a thin, frightened cat found near a wall in Sargodha, close to the British Learning Zone. It was clear this poor soul once had a home – perhaps lost, or sadly abandoned.

At first, we believed the cat was female, but a vet visit revealed he’s actually a young, unneutered male in urgent need of care. Thankfully, a kind-hearted student immediately offered to foster him and is now helping him recover with lots of love.

Though severely underweight, he’s otherwise healthy. His next steps: neutering and vaccination. To cover these costs and support the foster with food expenses, we’re currently seeking a sponsor for around €70.

Every little bit helps – and means a second chance for this sweet boy to live the life he deserves. And who knows – maybe his forever home is already waiting just around the corner. 💛

He Had Nothing – But Wouldn't Give Up on His Dog

He had nothing – except love for his dog.A poor farmer called us, desperate. His dog was sick.He had no money, no resources, no help. Only deep concern for his beloved animal.

He didn’t ask for money. He just asked not to be forced to abandon his dog.

That kind of love, that sense of responsibility – even when you have nothing – touched us deeply.

We didn’t hesitate. We sent his dog to our vet and covered all the costs.Because every animal deserves help. And every human who loves their animal deserves support.

Sometimes it’s these quiet stories that remind us why we do what we do.

dual neutering

Tomorrow is a big day for all of us at House of Hope – Street Animals Rescue & Shelter Sahiwal, Sargodha! Do you remember the two sweet souls from Islamabad that we helped rehome some time ago?

Hope – the lovely girl who was already spayed when she arrived, living up to her beautiful name. And little Angel – she was just a puppy back then. Tomorrow, she’ll take the next big step: she’s getting spayed! The best part? Her former owner from Islamabad is still covering the cost. Such responsibility and kindness – it truly touches us.

And that’s not all:Our stray cat mama, who we took in a while ago, also has her spay appointment tomorrow. Her two tiny kittens will of course stay home, safe and cared for.

So tomorrow, two brave ladies are heading off – please keep your fingers crossed for them! Days like these remind us why spaying is so essential in animal rescue – and how much love goes into every step we take.

Thank you all for walking this path with us – for every single animal.

schnell an Menschen gewöhnen.
Ich benutze meine Katzentoilette.
Bitte gib mir ein neues, liebevolles Zuhause.

My name is Sky
I was found in the middle of the night.
I was very hungry and had small wounds.
I am now in the animal shelter. I am about 8 to 9 weeks old.
I am being vaccinated and dewormed here.
I am still a bit shy around people. But with love and care i will
quickly get used to people.
I use my litter box.
Please give me a new loving home.

We are currently saving up to build an animal shelter on our land in the near from Sargodha.

The plan to start with is:

  • a cat room including 3 separation places and outdoor enclosures,
  • a dog room including 5 separation places and also with outdoor enclosures,
  • a vet and care room

In total we will then use around 200-300 square meters.

To start with, we want to have space for about 12-15 dogs, 2-3 donkeys, and 10-15 cats.

Construction costs: €6,500 or 2.000.000 PKR

Baukosten: 6.500 € bzw. 2.000.000 PKR

As you can see from the following stories, we urgently need to build a safe place for our animals.

We often find half-starved dogs or cats that we then pep up and find new homes for. Unfortunately, our resources are limited and we urgently need a animal shelter home.

about us / über uns

In February 2021, I emigrated from Germany to Pakistan. There are many animals living here - dogs, cats, donkeys - without owners on the streets. When the animals become aggressive or there are simply too many of them, the government lays out poison.
I came into contact with this topic very quickly. On March 13, 2021.

I found two puppies that were still trying to get milk from their dead mother, who had already been poisoned. I knew relatively quickly that I wanted to help these and other souls. My husband supports me in my work because he also has a big heart for animals.

In August 2021, I received a call that a mother dog had been poisoned and 9 puppies had been left to die. It was clear to me that I couldn't stand by and watch.
My husband and I then went there and took the puppies home with us. Now we had to get up every 2 hours and give the puppies milk. All 9 puppies developed splendidly.
After a few weeks, they were to big enough for our apartment.

In our search for a suitable place, we also turned to the city administration, but unfortunately they were unable to help us.
So we set off to find a suitable place.

Where we could leave the 9 puppies and continue to care for them.
We found a place in a abandoned colony.
We then went there every day and provided  fresh water and food to 9 puppies.

We were abled  successfully to find new homes for all 9 puppies.

There are also many cats on the streets of Sargodha, and when they have their babies on the property, they are sometimes chased out by the house owners. This is also the case with this cat and her two kittens. Of course, we also relocated these three to an empty house and looked after them.
